Another way to support CIWA
Becoming a member is one way to stand with immigrant and refugee women in Calgary. Members support CIWA’s mission and stay close to the work. As an individual member, you can also vote at the Annual General Meeting, where members help guide the organization.
It is a simple way to show that you believe in this work, and to be counted among the people who make it possible.
How membership works
- Memberships run until March 31 each year.
- If you join between January 1 and March 31, your membership is valid until March 31 of the following year.
- To vote at the Annual General Meeting, you must be an individual member in good standing for at least 30 days before the meeting.
- New membership requests are approved by the Board of Directors.
- Organizations, agencies, and institutions can become members with non-voting status.
