The Canadian Immigrant Women’s Association (CIWA) is a Calgary-based, gender-focused settlement organization. Since 1982, CIWA has helped immigrant and refugee women and their families build their lives in Canada, through settlement, language, employment, family, and wellbeing programs. The Canadian Immigrant Women’s Association (CIWA), formerly the Calgary Immigrant Women’s Association, is one of Canada’s largest gender-focused settlement organizations. Established in Calgary in 1982, CIWA supports immigrant and refugee women, girls, and their families as they settle, learn English, find work, raise their families, and stay safe and well in Canada. This year, CIWA served 17,932 women and their family members, from 133 countries, through more than 55 programs. CIWA is a registered charity. Learn more at ciwa.org.
